Mission Statement
- The National Collegiate Performance Horse Association is
committed to providing educational and scholarship opportunities
to students of all skill levels along with uniform and fair rules
of competition, eligibility and conduct when competing both
individually and/or as part of a team in their chosen performance
horse event/class that has a Ranching Heritage and is judged.
General INFORMATION
- To emphasize the importance of scholastic advancement and to
provide, encourage and promote opportunities for student members
to pursue and complete post-secondary degrees at member
institutions.
OTHER INFORMATION
- The National Collegiate Performance Horse Association is
committed to providing educational, scholarship and competitive
opportunities to students of all skill levels that enjoy competing
in performance horse events.
A Performance horse event/class will be defined as any event/class that has a Ranching Heritage and is judged. (ie Ranch Horse Versatility, Stock Horse, Reined Cow Horse, Cutting, Roping, Reining etc.)
OUR PURPOSE
- Our purpose is to work in cooperation with any organization
that would offer collegiate dual approved performance horse
classes and team events. Some organizations that currently offer
performance horse classes are AQHA, NRCHA, NRHA, NCHA, SHOT, APHA,
ASHA, NSBA. NCPHA will not instruct organizations how to judge or
run their events. NCPHA will verify a competitor’s eligibility,
suggest guidelines for team events, track points for year-end
awards and establish qualifying criteria for a National Show.
OUR GOAL
- NCPHA's goal is to award scholarships to both year-end and national winners.
